Title: Exploring Cosmic Dawn with JWST MIRROR

Abstract

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) allows us to probe unprecedented distances and study galaxies that formed during the era known as Cosmic Dawn, when the universe was only a few hundred million years old. This was a time when conditions were very different from what we see today, and understanding these early galaxies helps us piece together the story of cosmic evolution. In this talk, I will present new observations of unexpectedly bright galaxies, identified by JWST through their unique light signatures. I will present an analysis of the mass, metallicity and star-formation history of these galaxies, discussing their possible implications for galaxy formation and cosmology. I will discuss future observations that may help address some of the most important open questions.
