EEG/ERP lab

The linguistics-led EEG/ERP Laboratory at CCML is dedicated to investigating the real-time neural dynamics of language and cognition at high temporal resolution. The laboratory supports experimentally grounded research on sentence processing, experimental pragmatics, and multilingualism.

The laboratory is equipped with a Brain Products ActiCHamp system, active electrodes and multiple EEG caps in different sizes, as well as a Chronos response box for precise recording of behavioral responses. Stimulus presentation and data collection are carried out using E-Prime. Data analysis is performed, among other tools, with BrainVision Analyzer and MATLAB.

What We Measure

  • event-related potentials (ERPs) during sentence processing in Slovenian and other languages
  • reaction times and behavioral responses
  • the relationship between neural activity and behavior in language processing

Participate in our experiments! (in Slovene)
