Center for Cognitive Modeling of Language
At the Center for Cognitive Modeling of Language we study language as a cognitive capacity, with a focus on how linguistic structure and meaning are represented and processed in the human mind and brain.
Our mission
At the Center for Cognitive Modeling of Language we develop cognitively grounded models of language that connect linguistic theory with psycholinguistic and neurolinguistic approaches. We build on formal analyses of syntax, semantics and pragmatics and test them against behavioral data, EEG/ERP evidence and computational modeling. A central concern is how speakers understand, predict and integrate linguistic information in real time and how these processes vary across monolingual and multilingual settings.
