The table shows tuition fees for one year of study.

*Slovenian citizens, citizens of the European Union and foreign citizens of countries with which the Republic of Slovenia has concluded bilateral agreements in the field of education (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia) do not pay tuition fees for full-time studies in concessionary undergraduate and master's study programmes (marked with **). Citizens of the following non-EU countries: Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland, are treated equally as citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union.

Citizens of the Republic of Slovenia, citizens of EU member states and citizens of countries with which the Republic of Slovenia has signed international agreements on exemption from tuition fees are charged tuition fees for full-time studies if they have already achieved an education that corresponds at least to the level of education obtained in the study programme in which they are enrolled, or if they have not yet achieved an education that corresponds to the level of education obtained in the study programme and have already exercised the right from the second or third indent of the first paragraph of Article 111 of the Higher Education Act (ZViS-1), unless they enrol in a higher year than they were already enrolled in at the same level of study.

A person whose student status has been terminated due to withdrawal from a study programme or major may re-enrol in this study programme or major once. Tuition fees are charged for the studies referred to in the previous sentence.

For students who enrol in a higher year of study or repeat a year, tuition fees apply as they applied when they first enrolled in the programme.

Tuition fees can be paid in two equal installments, namely:

  • the first installment upon enrollment,
  • the second no later than January 31st.

Examinations for external students

Price for an individual exam: proportional share of tuition fees, according to ECTS of the course, calculated according to the formula: ECTS of the course x tuition fees per year / 60.

Interview

If a candidate applies to multiple study programs, they must pay the costs for each individual interview. If a candidate does not attend the interview, it is considered that they did not pass the interview, and the costs paid cannot be refunded.

School of Arts price list

The price list is valid only for students of the School of Arts who have extended their status after the last semester and for students without student status.

The price list covers the costs incurred by the school with individual students who extended their status after the last semester and for students without student status, according to his / her individual obligations, if students do not fulfil obligations during regular enrollment in the last year of study.

Students who have extended their student status after the last semester pay the fee when they register for an exam or colloquium or before starting the first consultation in the new academic year. They pay for the Diploma project before defending the diploma.

Students without student status must register and pay for the Diploma project before the start of the academic year.

Payment is valid for the current academic year.

Validation of the price list

The price list amendments were approved by the Managing Board of the University of Nova Gorica on 11 March, 2026 and is valid from 1 March, 2026 onwards, until further amendments.
