Presentation of the Across alliance and the Erasmus+ mobility programme at the UNG Orientation Day, 1st October 2026

On the first day of the new academic year, 1st October 2026, first-year students had a special experience. The University of Nova Gorica organised an Orientation Day, where they got acquainted with their schools, the university as a whole, the teaching staff, the support services, and their new fellow students. They also learnt that by enrolling at the University of Nova Gorica, they have become part of a much broader community: Across European University for Cross-Border Knowledge Sharing.

The Across Office presented the many opportunities the alliance offers, as well as its broader vision: knowledge exchange without borders, joint degrees, and the role of member universities in the development of the border regions in which they operate. Jana Beguš from the UNG International and Project Office then presented the benefits of international exchanges under the Erasmus+ programme.
