Prof. dr. Branka Mozetič Vodopivec je redna profesorica za živilsko tehnologijo in dekanja Fakultete za vinogradništvo in vinarstvo Univerze v Novi Gorici. Na Univerzi v Novi Gorici deluje tudi kot znanstvena svetnica v Centru za raziskave vina.
Leta 2004 je doktorirala na Biotehniški fakulteti Univerze v Ljubljani s področja živilske tehnologije, pred tem pa leta 1998 zaključila univerzitetni študij živilske tehnologije na isti fakulteti.
Na Univerzi v Novi Gorici je zaposlena od leta 2000. Delovala je kot mlada raziskovalka, postdoktorska raziskovalka, docentka, izredna profesorica, od leta 2022 pa kot redna profesorica za živilsko tehnologijo. Od leta 2011 opravlja funkcijo dekanje Fakultete za vinogradništvo in vinarstvo ter vodi in soustvarja študijske programe s področja vinogradništva, vinarstva.
Njeno raziskovalno delo je usmerjeno na področja kemijske sestave grozdja, vina, ciderja in sadnih sokov, analitskih metod za določanje kakovosti in pristnosti živil, fenolnih spojin, aromatskega profiliranja vin ter valorizacije stranskih produktov živilske industrije. Posebno pozornost namenja raziskavam tipičnosti vin in ciderjev, vplivu avtohtonih kvasovk na kakovost vin ter trajnostnim tehnologijam predelave fermentiranih pijač.
Sodelovala je in vodila številne nacionalne in mednarodne raziskovalne projekte, med drugim Interreg projekte ter norveške raziskovalne projekte s področja tipičnosti ciderja in tradicionalnih fermentiranih pijač.
