Dr. Iztok Palčič, Member of the Council of the School of Engineering and Management at the University of Nova Gorica, Appointed to an NAKVIS Expert

Dr. Iztok Palčič, a member of the Council of the School of Engineering and Management at the University of Nova Gorica, has been appointed to an expert commission of the National Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (NAKVIS), which will contribute to the development of a new Excellence Label for Slovenian higher and tertiary education institutions.

In addition to preparing the professional framework and criteria, the members of the commissions will also participate in reviewing submitted applications, their professional assessment, and the selection of the institution that will receive the Excellence Label.

Dr. Iztok Palčič, who works at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maribor, has been appointed to the Commission for Cooperation with the Environment and the Economy, where he will also serve as Vice-President.

His appointment is an important recognition of his professional expertise and experience and, at the same time, confirms the importance of his contribution to the development of quality in higher education. As a member of the Council of the School of Engineering and Management at the University of Nova Gorica, his professional work and experience also contribute to strengthening cooperation between academia, industry and the wider social environment.

The appointment of Dr. Iztok Palčič also provides an opportunity for the University of Nova Gorica to contribute to the development of national excellence criteria and to the further advancement of the quality of the Slovenian higher education system.
