Delegation of the European Space Agency at the University of Nova Gorica
A delegation of the European Space Agency (ESA) scientific programme has been in Slovenia these days and has visited the University of Nova Gorica today.

The delegation included Dr. Marcos Bavdaz, Dr. Sven Wittig and Piero Messina; Dr. Sabina Koleša, representative of the Slovenian Space Agency Office, joined the delegation during the visit as well.
The guests were greeted by the rector of the University of Nova Gorica, Dr. Boštjan Golob, who gave an introductory presentation of the University’s educational and research activities. The guests were also acquainted with the work of the School of Sciences, the Laboratory of Organic Matter Physics, the Materials Research Laboratory and the Laboratory of Quantum Optics. A detailed introduction was also given concerning the work of the Centre for Atmospheric Research and the Centre for Astrophysics and Cosmology, which have been cooperating with the European Space Agency for a few years now.
The ESA representatives expressed a great interest in further cooperation, particularly in the fields of astrophysics, atmosphere research and materials research.
