Perspectives on Sustainability and the Green Transition – A Student Roundtable on Innovation, Collaboration and a Sustainable Future
The event “Perspectives on Sustainability and the Green Transition – A Student Roundtable on Innovation, Collaboration and a Sustainable Future” will take place on 18th November 2026 at 1:00 PM at the University of Nova Gorica, in Lanthieri Mansion in Vipava. It is intended to create an open and inclusive space for dialogue on the scientific, technological, environmental and social dimensions of sustainable development and the green transition.
The focus will be on students from the University of Nova Gorica and the University of Udine, our partner within the Across European University for Cross-Border Knowledge Sharing, as well as the company Arctur. The event will be based on short student presentations, followed by a moderated roundtable discussion. Young people will actively present their projects, ideas and experiences, and take part in shaping proposals for sustainable solutions. The aim of the presentations is to give participants insight into the early stages of student project development, encourage the exchange of ideas and open up opportunities for further collaboration.
In terms of content, the roundtable will address a range of topics related to the green transition and sustainable development, such as the circular economy, resource efficiency, renewable energy sources, critical raw materials, recycling, climate change, sustainable technologies and student sustainability initiatives. The discussion will link scientific insights with real environmental, technological and societal challenges. It will highlight the importance of responsible management of natural resources, reducing environmental impacts and developing innovative solutions for the green transition.
Young researchers, experts, representatives of industry and the wider interested public are also invited to take part.
The event will be held in English, with machine translation available.
