Tamara Taskova, student of the BA study programme Digital Arts and Practices
Hello, I am Tamara Taskova and I come from Štip, N. Macedonia. I am a second-year student of the School of Arts of the University of Nova Gorica. The School is only 5 minutes away from the town centre, but there is also free public transport available in Nova Gorica. My study programme Digital Arts and Practices offers four modules: Videofilm, Animation, New Media, Photography. What convinced me most to enroll into this study programme were the courses in the first year of studies. Each undergraduate student has, yet in the first of studies, the opportunity to learn the basics and the history of all for study modules. Then you can decide which area you will focus on and what courses you will choose. The School and the collaborating partners organise numerous events and workshops, at which we can gather also extra credit points. Moreover, at least twice a year we have the opportunity to exhibit our works. Studying at the School of Arts is a great opportunity to meet peers with similar interests, not only from the Balkans, but from all over the world. Upon prior agreement with the lecturers, the lectures can be carried out in Slovenian and English, as the students come from various parts of the world. The icing on the cake is definitely the fact that since 2022 the students of the bchelor's study programme Digital Arts and Practices no longer have to pay tuition fees.
