International scientific conference with an artistic programme AVANT-GARDE AND THE END OF THE WORLD

University of Nova Gorica 2024 event

Duration period: from Thursday, 10th October 2024, to Saturday, 12th October 2024, Nova Gorica

Event Description:
The conference Avant-garde and the End of the World focuses on the ways of creating a radical vision of the world. It aims to create a platform for discussing the role of literature, art, and activism in facing contemporary challenges and to explore how the avant-garde contributes to understanding, shaping, and reshaping the world in the context of apocalypse. The event will mark the centenary of The First Constructivist Exhibition of the avant-garde artist Avgust Černigoj whose work has significantly contributed to the understanding of socially engaged art and to overcoming the boundary between life and art.

The event is open to the general public.
