Career Fair Place of Opportunities, Koper, 16th October 2026

The University of Nova Gorica once again participated in the largest career and education fair in the Slovenian Littoral region, the Place of Opportunities/Plac priložnosti Fair, held on 16 October 2026 in Koper.

At the university’s exhibition space, secondary school students and enthusiastic ninth-graders from primary and secondary schools across the Slovenian Littoral region explored a variety of career and educational opportunities, as well as opportunities to participate in international mobility programmes such as Erasmus+ and the Across European Cross-Border University Alliance. They also learned about the advantages of an international, research-oriented and inclusive study environment.

Young visitors also had the opportunity to try out an engaging sensory workshop organised by the School for Viticulture and Enology, where they explored the perception of different aromas. In addition, they could take an environmental quiz on non-native animal species in Slovenia, developed by students of the School of Environmental Sciences as part of a student project.
