Presentation of the Erasmus+ mobility programme and the Across Alliance at the UNG Orientation Day, 1. 10. 2025
At the beginning of the academic year, the University of Nova Gorica traditionally hosted its Orientation Day, primarily intended for first-year students at all levels of study.
The event provided an excellent opportunity for students to get acquainted with their schools, the university as a whole and their new study environment, as well as to meet fellow students and teaching staff. The day took place in a relaxed atmosphere, offering opportunities to make new friends and explore ways of getting involved in various activities at the schools, including student projects and extracurricular activities.
Special attention was also given to opportunities for students to take part in the university’s international activities through the Erasmus+ mobility programme and the Across European Cross-Border University Alliance, of which the University of Nova Gorica is a member. Jana Beguš, Erasmus+ Coordinator and representative of the UNG International and Project Office, presented the benefits of international exchanges, while Vice-Rector for Education and Arts, Prof. Dr Penka Stateva, highlighted the wide range of opportunities for international cooperation and mobility offered by Across, including an enriched study offer, additional exchange opportunities, summer and winter schools, and more.
At the information stand, UNG students who had previously taken part in Erasmus+ and Across activities shared their experiences and impressions of exchanges, summer schools and participation in student conferences abroad with their new fellow students.
