Choosing the right study programme at UNG
University of Nova Gorica offers seven different first-cycle study programs, which are briefly presented below.
Bachelor's programme Environment (First level)
The program lasts six semesters and offers all important natural, technical and social sciences that arise from environmental issues, e.g. water, air and soil pollution, environmental measurements, ecotoxicology, health ecology, waste management, nature protection, environmental management, environmental impact assessment, environmental economics and legislation and public relations.
Bachelor's programme in Engineering and Management (First level)
Being a graduate of Engineering and Management means being at the crossroads of technology and entrepreneurship. It means following the rapid technological development and with its economic and organizational knowledge to transfer innovations into practice, so that the company operates even more successfully.
In addition to basic science subjects, the program includes a wide range of subjects from engineering, economics and organizational sciences. The study consists of lectures, tutorials, practical training and a diploma thesis. Full-time study lasts six semesters.
Bachelor's programme in Physics and Astrophysics (First level)
Undergraduate study programme Physics and astrophysics represents the connection between basic physical knowledge and their use in technology and science. The contents of subjects that are enriched with examples from modern fields of physics and technology are also suitable for this.
Bachelor's study programme Slovene Studies (First level)
The study programme Slovene Studies provides students with in-depth knowledge of Slovene language and linguistics, acquaintance with cultural, historical and social phenomena in Slovenia, acquaintance with various methodologies of scientific research of linguistic phenomena, literature and culture, transfer of study content needed for employment in different sectors, developing critical thinking skills and working independently.
Bachelor's study programme Cultural history (First level)
The programme Cultural history acquaints students with the basic contents of cultural history, history of ideas and ideologies, and intellectual development. The basic goal of the study program is to educate professionals who will be able to perform work in the field of research, cultural and administrative activities.
Bachelor's programme in Viticulture and Enology (First level)
The study programme Viticulture and Enology is the first programme in Slovenia that combines knowledge from viticulture, winemaking and wine marketing. The study is practically oriented, theoretical knowledge is constantly supplemented by laboratory exercises, fieldwork, excursions and practical training in the second and third year.
Bachelor's programme in Digital Arts and Practices (First level)
Extremely practical study in the three-year higher education program Digital Arts and Practices allows research in four core modules: animation (animated film, animation in creative industries), video (feature, documentary, experimental video, art video), photography (authorial, functional / stage, reportage) and new media (creative use of new technologies).
