German Language II

The aims of the course are similar to those of German Language 1, that is to develop all four types of the students’ linguistic skills, while focusing on developing their reading skills and acquiring vocabulary in the selected professional field.

Knowledge of the German language on a basic level required.

• Grammar (basic morphology and syntax): the students learn how to use basic grammatical units in texts
• Analysis and forming shorter texts in the German language covering various različnih topics
• Acquiring vocabulary on various topics
• Discussions of selected topics
• Analysis and interpretation of audio recordings and written texts
• Reading basic authentic professional texts and acquiring vocabulary covering various topics

Knowledge and understanding:
The students are able to understand basic grammatical structures and use them appropriately in speech and in writing. They are able to understand shorter authentic texts.

Margit Horvath je profesorica angleškega in nemškega jezika in si je formalno izobrazbo pridobila z visokošolskim študijem doma in v tujini. Poleg študija germanistike na Filozofski fakulteti v Ljubljani, je na univerzi v Heidelbergu končala enoletni študij nemščine kot tujega jezika (DaF), pozneje pa podoben specializirani študij (Hochschullehrgang Deutsch als Fremdsprache) na graški univerzi. Pedagoške izkušnje si je pridobila z dolgoletnim poučevanjem. Od leta 1992 je samostojno prirejala in izvajala številne jezikovne programe različnih stopenj za odrasle. Oktobra 2002 je končala podiplomski študij "Executive MBA" na Donavski univerzi v Kremsu, Avstriji.
