X-RAY MAGNETIC SCATTERING

  • Pump-probe setup for the x-ray magnetic scattering studies.
  • XUV (Extreme Ultraviolet) probe and IR (Infrared) pump.
  • XUV probe in the range of 15-70 eV which is suitable for M-edges of 3-d transition metals.
  • Controllable linear polarization of probe beam.
  • Sample mount with 1 degree of rotation and 1 degree of translation (upgrading to 2 degrees of translation).
  • Diffraction grating to spatially separate the harmonics.
  • 2-D detector acquiring the spectrum at up to 1 microsecond exposure.
  • Can work in both reflection and transmission modes.
