Post-doctoral assistant or assistant professor of computer science (m/f)
The University of Nova Gorica has a vacancy for the position of post-doctoral assistant or assistant professor of computer science.

We are seeking candidates interested in pursuing a rewarding research and academic career at the University of Nova Gorica. We offer a dynamic research environment with a focus on involvement in the international academic sphere.
The candidate will work at the Centre for Information Technologies and Applied Mathematics in an interdisciplinary research group that operates at the intersection of computer science, information science, mathematics, system theory and automatic control systems. It develops new approaches to modelling and applies them to a variety of fields, from biomedicine to education and industry. It also develops methods for intelligent data analysis and knowledge discovery.
The selected candidate will conduct research in the field of data science. Their appointment will also include teaching obligations in computer science subjects in the Engineering and Management study programme at the School of Engineering and Management and in study programmes at other Schools within the university.
Eligible candidates should have: * doctorate in computer science, * a good command of English.
Priority will be given to candidates with experience in data science and candidates who hold the rank of assistant professor or equivalent or who meet the conditions for holding the rank of assistant professor or equivalent.
The successful candidate would be expected to start work on 1 October 2020. Employment is offered as a full-time position.
