Post-doctoral collaborator in the field of chemistry of materials for environmental technologies
University of Nova Gorica announces an post-doctoral collaborator in the field of chemistry of materials for environmental technologies job vacancy.

Candidates are expected to: * have PhD in the field of chemistry, materials or environmental sciences * have knowledge and experiences in inorganic synthesis and photocatalysis * be involved also in pedagogic work after employment at UNG
The successful candidate will be directly involved in the applied national ARRS project entitled »Thermo- and photo-active coatings for windows« (project leader prof. dr. Urška Lavrenčič Štangar) and Flemish-Slovenian research project entitled »Development of advanced TiO2-based photocatalyst for the degradation of organic pollutants from wastewater«. Research work of the post-doctoral collaborator on the projects will include development of solar-light driven titania photocatalysts on suitable supports and photocatalytic tests of synthesized composites for application in the form of self-cleaning thin films on windows and in purification of wastewater, polluted by textile dyes and other organic contaminants. He/she will actively collaborate with project partners in development of new photocatalytic and thermochromic coatings on various substrates and in development of deposition methodolgies for the two target applications.
The successful candidate will, according to his/her habilitation, take over some pedagogic obligations on one or more study programs at the University of Nova Gorica.
The position will start on 1.9.2016, with appointment for one year with possibility of extension.
