International Conference with Artistic Program Avant-Garde and the End of the World
The conference Avant-garde and the End of the World focuses on the ways of creating a radical vision of the world.
It aims to create a platform for discussing the role of literature, art, and activism in facing contemporary challenges and to explore how the avant-garde contributes to understanding, shaping, and reshaping the world in the context of apocalypse. The event will mark the centenary of The First Constructivist Exhibition of the avant-garde artist Avgust Černigoj.
The conference is organised by the Research Center for Humanities and School of Humanities at the University of Nova Gorica, within teh research program "Historical Interpretation of the 20th Century (ARIS, P6-0347). Parts of the artistic program are organised within the GO!2025 Nova Gorica - Gorizia program.
