Dear UNG students, welcome to the ORIENTATION DAY!

Meet new friends, get to know your university and the new study environment. Lern more about the extracurricular activities, international mobility and much more!

WHEN?

On the first day of the new academic year, on 1st October 2024.

WHERE and HOW DO I COME THERE?

In the morning first at your own school ... and after that we head to the MAIN EVENT with a reception and visit to the university centre in Vipava*!

Free transport* to Vipava available for all UNG students whose schools are not located in Vipava. Bus ride available: Rožna Dolina - Ajdovščina - Vipava - Ajdovščina - Rožna Dolina.

Mandatory registrations for free bus transport to Vipava and back:

Please REGISTER by sending an e-mail to the Administrative Office of YOUR school by (including) WEDNESDAY, 25th September 2024.

ORIENTATION DAY PROGRAMME

PART 1: Morning welcome programmes for students at individual UNG schools

At each UNG school. Schedules vary across schools, so please check at your school.

Organised transport for freshmen to the MAIN EVENT in Vipava

• 11:00: departure of the bus from the university centre in Rožna Dolina
  (for students of the School of Arts, the School of Humanities and the Graduate School)
• 11.35: departure of the bus from the university centre in Ajdovščina
  (for students of the School of Science
• 11:50: arrival to the university centre in Vipava

PART 2: Main event at the University Campus in Vipava

• 12:00: RECEPTION AT THE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS IN VIPAVA
  (university centre Vipava, Lanthieri mansion, Aula Magna - first floor)
  - WELCOME GREETING by the RECTOR PROF. DR. BOŠTJAN GOLOB
  - greeting by the representatives of UNG offices providing services for students

• 12:20-13:45: outdoor socialising event
  (the courtyard of the Lanthieri mansion, indoors in the hall in case of bad weather)
  - stands with the students' presentations of UNG schools' activities, UNG Student Council; UNG International and Project Office; UNG Student Office etc.
  - stands of local providers of services for students: KAŠ - students' club from Ajdovščina, Mjob student job agency, Inštitut za mladinsko politiko, Primorska hranilnica bank and others

• 13:45: guided tour of Vipava in cooperation with the Tourist Information Centre Vipava
  (guided tour in English)

• 14:15: departure of the bus from the university centre in Vipava towards Ajdovščina and Rožna Dolina

• 14:25: arrival of the bus to the university centre in Ajdovščina
• 15:00: arrival of the bus to the university centre in Rožna Dolina
