Publications in open access - benefits in 2025
In 2025, at UNG, we have benefits for the publication of articles in open access at the following publishers:
- Science direct (Elsevier): unlimited number of vouchers at the national level for open publications in eligible hybrid journals (informative list of journals, instructions to authors, overview of voucher spending);
- Springer Nature: 10 free vouchers from the common bag for small institutions for open publications in hybrid journals are no longer available. It is expected that in October, the collective bag of all unused vouchers of other institutions will be opened again, then it will be possible to use vouchers again on a first-come, first-served basis (list of journals, instructions to authors, overview of voucher spending);
- American Chemical Society (ACS): 81 free vouchers at the national level for open publications in hybrid and open access (golden) journals (instructions to authors, overview of voucher spending);
- American Chemical Society (ACS): unlimited number of vouchers at the national level for open publications. More on the consortium's website.
- Taylor & Francis: 85 free vouchers at the national level for open publications in Open Select Standard hybrid journals and 5% discount on APCs in other hybrid journals Open Select (report of voucher spending)
- SCOAP3: enables open publishing in scientific publications in the field of particle physics without costs for authors (list of journals). More info: on the website of the national contact point CTK.
- Frontiers: 10% discount for open access publications. Please select “University of Nova Gorica” in the payment information section (“Frontiers institutional members”) when submitting your article.
