Student mobility for study – Outgoing
Studying abroad is a central part of Erasmus+ and has been shown to have a positive effect on later job prospects. It is also a chance to develop personally and professionally, gain self-confidence and independence, immerse yourself in a new culture and develop cultural awareness and open-mindedness, broaden your horizons, improve and gain language skills, increase motivation to learn, gain new transferable skills and beside all boost your employability.
To study abroad with Erasmus+, you must be registered and enrolled in studies at University of Nova Gorica (UNG). The receiving institution and the UNG must have an Inter-institutional Agreement. Your period of study abroad must be relevant for your study programme that you are following. To be eligible to go abroad with Erasmus+, you must apply for the UNG call and be selected.

For short term mobility for mobility in study year 2023/24 the application window is open until the funds are depleted.
Stay Informed: attend Erasmus+ events organized by the International and Project Office of UNG throughout the academic year to learn about the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program. You can also request an individual meeting with the Erasmus coordinator.
Prepare your application package: To apply for the call, you need to fill out the application form, specifying two potential institutions where you would like to study. For the application, you also need to prepare a Motivational letter in English, a CV Europass in English, and a certificate of completed exams. Send your application to international.office@ung.si.
For selected candidates, the Erasmus coordinator will send a nomination to the host institution, from which you will then receive the necessary information regarding the application.
Before mobility
- Prepare the Study Agreement: create the digital Online Learning Agreement (OLA) through the OLA portal https://www.learning-agreement.eu/.

- Visa: for more information on the visa, visit the "Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia" website: http://www.mzz.gov.si/en/entry_and_residence/ and check whether a visa is required for the country you are traveling to. Obtaining a visa may take more than 3 months, so please ensure that you obtain the visa in a timely manner to proceed with the process.

- Transportation: purchase an airline ticket, bus ticket, or train ticket.

Easmus Certificate – on the first/initial day, you must obtain the mobility confirmation at the host institution and send it to UNG. During the exchange, use the Online Language Support (OLS). Any changes to the Learning Agreement should be forwarded to UNG, as well as a request for an extension of mobility (if necessary). On the last day of your mobility, make sure to receive the Erasmus Certificate of Completion and a certificate of completed exams.
After mobility
Upon returning home, you must submit the following to the Erasmus coordinator:
- Transcript of records

We would be glad if you could share your Erasmus+ experience on the UNG Mobility Blog.
Upon returning from mobility, the successfully completed study obligations, which were agreed upon and confirmed by your faculty and the host institution before departure (Learning Agreement), will be recognized. Recognition may be denied if you have not fulfilled the agreed obligations. You must initiate the recognition process at your faculty immediately upon returning from mobility.
Students may receive non-refundable funds for individual support, intended to cover additional travel and living expenses associated with the period of study or internship abroad. The amount of funds is defined according to the country to which the student is going for mobility. For detailed information see the Erasmus+CALL_2024_2025_Study_UNG_ANG.
