Neja Mihelj, student of the BSc study programme Viticulture and Enology
I chose to study at the University of Nova Gorica because I come from a winemaking family and am the third generation wishing to continue this tradition. One of the key advantages of this study programme is the small study groups, which allow professors and lecturers to dedicate more attention to each student.
After completing my studies, I plan to pursue a master's degree and later a doctorate. Once I finish my academic journey, I see myself working at home, in my own wine cellar and vineyards. As for everything else, we’ll see where life takes me.
I recommend studying viticulture and enology because today, the profession of a winemaker and viticulturist is in high demand. Moreover, there is a growing shortage of young people in the world of viticulture and winemaking, as well as in the agricultural sector in general.
