Nino Stanič, student of the master's programme Engineering and Management

I am Nino Stanič, a master's student of Engineering and Management at the School of Engineering and Management at the University of Nova Gorica. In 2024, I successfully completed the second year of my master's studies, having chosen this academic path due to my interest in both the business and technical aspects of company operations and project management.

My studies have provided me with a broad knowledge base that bridges economics and engineering, enabling me to understand both technical processes and business strategies. I particularly appreciated the open approach of the professors, who always encouraged discussion and collaboration, as well as the opportunities to engage in research activities and external projects. It was precisely this interdisciplinarity and practical orientation of the programme that allowed me to develop skills and knowledge that will be valuable in my career.

The study of engineering and management is highly applicable in a business environment, as it provides the understanding of the key processes that influence a company's success. It offers a combination of technical expertise and business skills, which contributes to better decision-making and navigation in the dynamic world of business. This programme gives students a comprehensive insight into company operations and equips them with the necessary knowledge for successful project management and strategic decision-making.
