ACROSS Summer School (call for lecturers): Basics in Financial Markets and Intermediaries, Pordenone, Italy, July 2026
The University of Udine, Italy, invites lecturers from ACROSS partner universities to participate in delivering the summer school on financial markets and intermediaries.
Location: Pordenone, Italy
Dates: First/second/third week of July 2026 (the exact dates will be announced later)
Organizer: University of Udine, Italy (member of the ACROSS Alliance)
Format: The course will be delivered in a blended format – beginning with online preparatory materials (readings and introductory videos) and continuing with in-person sessions in Pordenone.
Target group: 36 students, who will be divided into 4 groups of 9.

Level: Introductory
Description: A practical and theoretical introduction to financial markets and intermediaries, with an emphasis on the European perspective. The programme includes morning lectures on banking, insurance, and capital markets, as well as afternoon interactive workshops where student groups rotate among different activities – Bloomberg Lab, guided bibliographic research, analysis of banking supervision and regulation (EU), and analysis of insurance supervision and regulation (EU). The week concludes with group presentations on comparative financial systems of ACROSS member countries, followed by a culturally oriented study excursion.
