Crossing Media Boundaries: Gender and Writing across Artistic Media

DATES: August 27 – September 1, 2025

LOCATION: Nova Gorica, Slovenia

DESCRIPTION:

How do women’s writings transcend literary boundaries and take new forms across artistic media? How have visual elements—such as book covers, illustrations, and film adaptations—reinforced or challenged gender norms? How do digital platforms, pastiche, and fanfiction reshape authorship?

Join us for an interdisciplinary Summer School exploring these and other critical questions at the intersection of gender, literature, and media. The program includes expert-led lectures, interactive workshops, and a thematic excursion, offering a unique opportunity for hands-on engagement with literary and cultural themes.

WHO CAN APPLY?

MA & PhD students with research interests in literary studies, gender studies, digital humanities, and intermedial studies.

CEEPUS-funded spots available, with limited tuition-paying places (90€ for students, 120€ for employed participants).
