University of Nova Gorica: presenting studies, mobility and research opportunities in the local environment

On 17 October 2025, we presented ourselves at the Plac priložnosti career fair in Koper, where we prepared various workshops for visitors. On the same day, colleagues from the School of Science of the University of Nova Gorica took part in the Bazaar of Professions in Ajdovščina, organised by the Youth Cultural Centre Hiša Mladih Ajdovščina.

They introduced ninth-grade pupils to the professions of physicist and astrophysicist and enabled them to observe the Sun through a solar telescope. They also presented the educational project GoChile, which connects astronomy with youth education, as well as the opportunities offered to young people through UNG’s participation in the ACROSS European Cross-Border University Alliance.

On 7 November 2025, we also took part in the Try with Language Festival in Nova Gorica, dedicated to languages, poetry, performance, and flavours, organised by XCenter. Artem Novozhilov, assistant at the School of Humanities of UNG, presented a new linguistic EEG experiment as well as the advantages of international cooperation within the framework of the ACROSS European University.
