University of Nova Gorica at the EAIE 2025 Conference in Gothenburg

One of the largest and most important international conferences in the field of higher education – EAIE 2025 / EAIE European Association for International Education – took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 9 to 12 September 2025. The conference brings together experts and institutions from all over the world.

Slovenian higher education was presented this year under the umbrella of the Study in Slovenia programme, within which the University of Nova Gorica (UNG) was also introduced to international experts and students. The presentation of the university includes its membership in the ACROSS European Cross-Border University Alliance, an alliance of ten European universities that brings together more than 110,000 students and 11,000 staff members. ACROSS offers students, researchers, and the broader public opportunities for international cooperation and mobility, a joint and enriched study offer, and access to top-level research equipment.

The university was represented at the event by Jana Beguš, mobility coordinator at UNG, and among the visitors was also the State Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Mr. Urban Kodrič.

The EAIE conference is an excellent opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships and establish new collaborations in the field of international mobility for students and staff, enabling the University of Nova Gorica to further enhance its international impact and visibility.
