Opportunities for researchers

The ACROSS European University Alliance aims to strengthen the research and innovation ecosystems of cross-border regions and to foster their economic, social, green, and digital development.

The alliance’s goals are aligned with selected priority areas of the European Research Area (ERA):

• to promote international cooperation, for example through the introduction of a joint ACROSS Research Information System, which will allow the identification of common research areas and the sharing of research infrastructure among alliance partners;
  
• to enable open science, for example by pooling initiatives and launching a shared ACROSS Open Data Repository;
  
• to support investments and reforms in the field of research and innovation.

The main direct benefits that the ACROSS Alliance brings to researchers include:

• support from the alliance in addressing research challenges,
  
• the development of joint research and innovation projects, particularly through Knowledge Creation Teams (KCTs),
  
• the possibility to share research infrastructure,
  
• the ACROSS University Business Gateway, designed to foster collaboration between universities and the business sector,
  
• additional opportunities for mobility and professional development,
  
• the establishment of the ACROSS Graduate School within the alliance.
