Student symposium of the INSPIRO 2.0 2025 project
On Friday, 12th December 2025, the Student symposium of the INSPIRO 2.0 2025 project University of Nova Gorica took place at the Lanthieri Mansion in Vipava.
At the student symposium, the students who have taken part in the INSPIRO 2.0 – Innovative Student Projects in Research and Artistic Environments presented their group projects. For the first time, the participating students presented this year their interdisciplinary projects that were hosted by schools and research units at UNG. The INSPIRO 2.0 project is funded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation within the framework of the measure for reaching the aims of the development area of national importance: »Additional activities for talented students«. Via a call for proposals, the committee selected four best student group project proposals that investigated phenomena from both scientific and artistic perspectives. In addition, the symposium also included the presentation by Amalija Rafaj Škriljevečki, the recipient of this year's Alumnus Primus and Alumnus Optimus awards and our graduate at School of Science at UNG, who continues her master's studies at the University of Graz.
The Inspiro 2.0 symposium was also held under the auspices of the ACROSS European Cross-border University Alliance, of which the University of Nova Gorica is a member. The symposium took place within the framework of Team Task 2.2, which strives to develop a series of activities (e.g., workshops, interviews, panels) with direct participation of both students and (external) experts to determine the transformative characteristics for a student-centred design approach. The students presented their research results.
