First training opportunity for teaching and research staff within Across

We are very happy to announce the first training opportunity for teaching and research staff from the universities of the Across European Cross-border University Alliance:

COIL Workshop: Technopedagogical Skills to Promote Internationalization at Home and Connect Across Universities.

The training is organized by the University of Girona and aims to foster teaching collaborations between academics of Across universities for the benefit of the students. The training is of particular relevance to team tasks 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 and 3.3.

The workshop will be delivered in three sessions and will:

• introduce the concept of Internationalization of the Curriculum (IoC) and the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) methodology;
• introduce how to design and implement COIL projects in an intercultural and interdisciplinary context; and
• guide the design of a first COIL project among the participants.

Dates & Times:

• Session 1: 5 February 2026 – 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Introduction to IoC and COIL methodology
• Session 2: 13 February 2026 – 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Design of a COIL project (includes group work)
• Session 3: 27 February 2026 – 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Presentation of COIL project proposals, final reflection, and takeaways
