Call: Summer School 2006, Effective Solutions for Sustainable Buildings in Cities
Białystok University of Technology (Poland) invites teachers and students from Across partner universities to take part in the Summer School 2026 – Effective Solutions for Sustainable Buildings in Cities, an intensive on-site programme focused on sustainable construction and urban development.
The summer school will explore energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions for buildings in urban contexts, combining academic knowledge with practical, hands-on experience. Participants will work in an international and interdisciplinary environment, gaining insights into modern architectural design, environmental engineering systems, and sustainable urban solutions.
Dates: 2nd – 11 July 2026 for students, 6th – 10th July 2026 for teachers
Location: Białystok University of Technology
Programme highlights
The programme includes:
- expert-led lectures and workshops on sustainable buildings and cities,
- practical sessions focused on energy efficiency, environmental engineering systems and sustainable design solutions,
- teamwork in international and interdisciplinary groups,
- study visits and cultural activities introducing participants to Białystok and the Podlasie region.
Who can attend: The summer school builds on the experience of previous summer schools organized at Białystok University of Technology, and is addressed to students of:
- Environmental Engineering,
- Civil Engineering,
- Architecture,
- Power Engineering,
- as well as related disciplines interested in sustainable development of the building and energy sectors.
This year are also invited teachers from the Across universities to conduct workshops for international students (areas of expertise: energy consumption, HVAC systems, building materials, renewable energy sources, etc).
Financial support
Participants selected for the project will receive:
- a scholarship to cover travel expenses to Poland,
- a lump sum for living and accommodation costs in Poland,
- a residency scholarship,
- travel and accommodation costs for up to two teachers from Across partner universities
Certification: Upon completion, students will receive a certificate worth 3 ECTS credits.
