Individual Project I
Master’s study programme Environment (second cycle)
Objectives and competences
The main goal of the course is to teach the student how to approach to project-oriented solving of a problem, which principles to apply during the project implementation and how correctly interpret and disseminate the project results
Competences: attaining skills for analysis of a problem, design and planning of project work, implementation of the project tasks and interpretation of results
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of environmental topics.
This course represents a basis for the course Individual project II, which is carried out in 2nd year.
Content
Each student selects the topic of his/her project upon prior agreement with his/her mentor, who supervises the student’s project work.
Intended learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding:
• The students will be capable to autonomously aquire the already existing knowledge of research topics
• The students wil be capable to design the plan of project tasks and implement them
• The students will be capable of a critical assesment of the results and their dessimination
Assessment
• Successful presentation of the seminar (50 %)
• Written report (50 %)
