First job shadowing this year
On Monday, January 13, the first job shadowing event of 2025 took place at the School of Engineering and Management and the Center for Information Technologies and Applied Mathematics at the University of Nova Gorica.
Students from Škofijska Gimnazija Vipava and Gimnazija Sežana, under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyed Ahmad Hosseini, explored the field of applied mathematics.
During this one-day visit, the high school students experienced what it is like to work as a lecturer in applied mathematics. They gained insight into the vibrant world of research and teaching and attended a live lecture.
They witnessed problem-solving in real-world scenarios and observed dynamic collaboration in various processes within the field of applied mathematics.
This experience might inspire the next generation, as the students left the Lanthieri Mansion with positive impressions at the conclusion of the shadowing event.
