Tery Žeželj, MA
Research activity
Tery Žeželj situates her research at the intersection of performing arts, ecology and feminism. She is interested in the ways and potentials of artistic practices to intervene in and change the dominant imaginaries on the relationship between humans (society) and the environment we live with.
Biography
Tery Žeželj (1995) finished the BA programme Dramaturgy and Performing Arts at AGRFT in Ljubljana and MA programme Contemporary Theatre, Dance, and Dramaturgy at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. During her studies, she worked as a dramaturg in student and professional theatre productions. For te internship at the MA proggramme she worked at Framer Framed in Amsterdam and on the project How To Exit A Reality (Attempt 1 of 19) by Andrea Božić and Julia Willms. After graduating, she was self-employed in culture and worked mainly as a dramaturg (in two puppet shows for kids, The Plastonians and Nighthawks directed by Peter Kus, as a theoretical and dramaturgical accompaniment in the project The Torch, the Key and the Snake by Ainhoa Hernández Escudero), researcher (artistic research project Multispecies Landscapes at Bunker Institute, longer research practice the day after yesterday with Madison Jolliffe), editor (Glej, list and the website Sex Education II) and member of the artistic board of Glej Theatre. In October 2023 she joined the University of Nova Gorica as a young researcher.
