Area of research
I am interested in covalent polymeric materials with a focus on environmental applications, drug delivery and sensing. During my PhD, I gained experience in the synthesis of monomers and covalent polymers and their full characterization with electron microscopy, thermal and porosity analysis, FTIR spectroscopy, particle size analysis, and NMR. In investigating the potential of the synthesized materials in pollutant removal, I have studied dye, bromate, iodine, mercury, paraquat and perfluorooctanoic acid capture through a range of analytical techniques, including UV-Vis and fluorescence spectrometry, and HPLC-QqQ-MS. My current research interests lie in biological sensor design and carbon capture.
