Expert assosiate in the field of instrumental analysis (m/f/o)
The University of Nova Gorica has an open position for an Expert associate in the field of instrumental analysis.

The successful candidate will perform professional and technical work whilst participating in research programs and projects as well as the teaching process, maintaining research and other equipment in the Laboratory for Environmental and Life sciences (LELS) and ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory.
LELS aims to provide conditions for intensive cooperation between analytical and environmental chemists, ecotoxicologists, biochemists, molecular biologists, and technologists. We foster basic and applied research in the study of the conversion and transport of pollutants in land and aquatic environments; the development of advanced, highly-sensitive laser-analytical methods; and diagnostic tools in biomedicine.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for the succeful candidate to develop and apply their knowledge of analytical instrumentation and work in the development of analytical methods and their validation. The ideal candidate has a keen interest to learn and apply new analytical techniques.
The successful candidate will be expected to start work as soon as possible after the selection process has been completed. Employment is offered for full-time working hours over a fixed term of one year.
To be considered for the position, candidates should:
- have a higher professional education or University degree,
- be independent, adaptable to working in interdisciplinary groups, be accurate and reliable.
- two or more years of previous experience working in a laboratory in a similar position.
