Head of the Center for atmospheric research (m/f)

Centre for Atmospheric Research is involved in the research of atmospheric processes using a number of detection tools, including lidar based remote sensing, and participates in the development of the lidar system for the CTA observatory at La Palma.

We are seeking a new colleague motivated by the challenge of forming and leading their own research group. We can offer a dynamic research environment with a focus on involvement in international research.

The head of the center will also have the opportunity to teach students at all three Bologna study levels on faculties of University of Nova Gorica​.

To be considered for the position, you should:

• have a PhD from the relevant field,
• fulfill criteria for a leader of research projects,
• have team-leadership capabilities,
• have at least five years of research experience,
• have command of Slovene and English language at C1 level.

• Motivation letter with a short summary of research interests.

Shortlisted candidates will also be asked to submit details of their vision for the center.
The selected candidate will be offered a full-time position for an initial period of four years, which may be extended.
