The American space agency (NASA) and Jet Propulsion Laboratory have since included our flights in their system of tracking aerosols and wind above the Atlantic.

The acquired data will, among other things, enable a deeper understanding of atmospheric phenomena and calibration of the ALADIN lidar on the Aeolus satellite.

The international JATAC project (Joint Aeolus Tropical Atlantic Campaign) took place in September on the Cape Verde archipelago and Saint Croix island in the Caribbean. The project included the American space agency (NASA), the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), the German Aerospace Centre (DLR), the Greek National Observatory of Athens (NOA) and the Slovenian University of Nova Gorica. The team was also joined by the companies Aerovizija d.o.o. and Haze instruments d.o.o..
