Meet new friends, get to know your university and the new study environment. Lern more about the extracurricular activities, international mobility and much more!
WHEN?
On the first day of the new academic year, on 1st October 2025.
WHERE and HOW DO I COME THERE?
In the morning first at your own school ... and after that we head to the MAIN EVENT with a reception at the EPICenter (Kolodvorska pot 10, Nova Gorica)*!
Free transport* to the EPICenter in Nova Gorica will be available.
Bus ride available: Vipava - Ajdovščina - Rožna Dolina - EPICenter Nova Gorica - Rožna Dolina - Ajdovščina - Vipava.
Mandatory registrations for free bus transport to Vipava and back:
Please REGISTER by sending an e-mail to the Administrative Office of YOUR school by (including) THURSDAY, 25th September 2025.

PART 1: Morning welcome programmes for students at individual UNG schools
At each UNG school. Schedules vary across schools, so please check at your school.
Organised transport for freshmen to the MAIN EVENT in Vipava
- 10:45: departure of the bus from the university centre in Vipava
(for students of the School of Engineering and Management, School of Environmental Sciencesa and School for Viticulture and Enology) - 11.00: departure of the bus from the university centre in Ajdovščina
(for students of the School of Science) - 11.35: departure of the bus from the university centre in Rožna Dolina
(for students of the School of Arts, the School of Humanities and the Graduate School) - 11:50: arrival at the EPICenter in Nova Gorica

PART 2: Main event at the EPICenter in Nova Gorica

12:00: WELCOME GREETING by the RECTOR PROF. DR. BOŠTJAN GOLOB
- greeting by the representatives of UNG offices providing services for students -
12:30-15:00: Social gathering with snacks
- stands with presenting schools, research laboratories and centers, support services, and visiting institutions -
15:00: departure of the bus from the EPICenter towards Rožna Dolina, Ajdovščina and Vipava
