Assane Ndao

Hello everyone, my name is Assane Ndao. It's a great pleasure for me to be part of the enrolled students at the master's study programme Materials Science at the University of Nova Gorica in Slovenia.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in physics, chemistry and material sciences from the University of Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar, Senegal, I received an interdisciplinary training that gave me experience in the fields of chemistry and physics. Since high school, it's been a dream for me to continue my studies abroad to increase my knowledge of this topic. And I was especially impressed by the University of Nova Gorica and its programs, the quality of its specialities and sophisticated research materials. Hence, the study programme Materials Science would give me a deeper insight into how technologies, along with many other factors, have been affecting the world today. I find the teaching staff here very welcoming, dynamic, accessible and encouraging, which motivates me even more. Studying here is a vibrant experience and an opportunity to meet students from all over the world and to learn about their values and culture.
