Angela Zorchec

Hello, my name is Angela Zorchec and I come from Skopje, North Macedonia. I am currently studying at the School of Science (study programme Physics and Astrophysics) at the University of Nova Gorica and I would like to share with you my experience of studying at this University. One of the many attractive advantages of this school is the small number of students enrolled, which allows the students to establish excellent communication and interaction with the professors and close friendships and cooperation with other students. Furthermore, this school offers an excellent opportunity to meet people from all over the world and get to know other cultures and customs. Another advantage of this school is that the lectures and exams can also be held in English, which is a mitigating circumstance for students who have a good command of the English language, but have poor knowledge of the Slovenian language. But despite the fact that the lectures are also available in English, the University offers the students a free course of the Slovenian language. In addition to excellent lectures, the School of Science is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, at which the students can gather practical experience. In all years of studies, the students have laboratory exercises that allow the students to apply the knowledge they have acquired at the lectures in practice, and in this way they can master the study areas more easily. The students also have the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ programme and spend a mobility period at other universities in Europe. This university often organizes various events and workshops that the students can join and get extra ECTS credit points. Another reason why I decided to enroll to this university is also the fact that studying in Slovenia is completely free for students from North Macedonia. If you are interested in studying Physics and Astrophysics or enroll to one of the other study programmes offered at the University of Nova Gorica, I recommend you to join us and become a student of our University.
