Natalija Zlatanova
Hello everyone, I am Natalija Zlatanova from Macedonia and I would like to share my study experience at the School of Engineering and Management at the University of Nova Gorica with you. I first learned about this university in high school during one of their presentations. I didn't even know then that I would end up here, but I'm so glad I did. First of all, what's so interesting about this place is that it doesn't focus on just one subject, but we have lectures on both engineering and management, which opens doors to a world full of possibilities. After graduation, you can either join the corporate world and explore management, or start a career as an engineer. Plus, we have an awesome Student Council, through you can get actively involved in university life. With a small number of students, our professors really have time to devote to us, helping us deal with all the challenges we face. Another interesting aspect is that we have these super helpful tutors – experienced students from the second year onwards – who offer support to new and international students who face language and academic barriers. One of the biggest reasons I chose Slovenia is because education here is free for students from Macedonia. I must also mention the nature in Slovenia, which is absolutely impressive. Slovenia offers everything from the sea to the mountains, from magical places like Lake Bled to mesmerizing caves. What's even better is that our university is located just an inch from Italy, so spontaneous trips across the border are easy. So, if you're ever thinking about your next academic adventure, consider joining us here at the University of Nova Gorica.
