LETTERS, the Alexandrian women and the (citizen) science

Event description:
At the event, the audience will learn what citizen science is, what its challenges are and how it can contribute to science. This will be illustrated on the case of the project LETTERS, during which a part of the personal archives of the Kosič family related to the Alexandria women has been digitalised. Ms Sonja Kosič will present the letters and their authors predstavila, Ms Sara Vukotić, MA, will share her experience of transcribing the letters and upoading them into the electronic collection LETTERS, while Ms Darinka Kozinc, MA, will highlight the importance of the project LETTERS in terms of preserving the cultural heritage of the Alexandrian women. The event will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Katja Mihurko Poniž, Head of the Research Centre for Humanities and editor of the web portal and the electronic collection LETTERS.
