is offering position of professional associate in the field of instrumental analysis.

We invite candidates who are interested in the position of a professional associate in the Laboratory for Environmental and Life sciences
The selected candidate will perform professional and technical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory, including maintaining research and other equipment in the Laboratory for Environmental and Life sciences (LELS), participating in research programs and projects, taking part in the educational process, and performing administrative tasks to support ongoing research.
LELS strives to provide conditions for intensive collaboration among analytical and environmental chemists, biochemists, molecular biologists, and technologists. It conducts fundamental and applied research in areas such as the study of pollutant transformation and transport in the environment, and the design of advanced, highly sensitive laser analytical methods and diagnostic tools in biomedicine.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for the selected candidate to develop and apply their lab skills and knowledge of analytical instrumentation in the development of analytical methods. The ideal candidate is organised, detail-oriented, and capable of handling laboratory documentation and administrative tasks, with a strong interest in learning and applying new analytical techniques.
To be considered for the position, candidates should:
- have a higher professional education or University degree,
- speak Slovenian and be proficient in English,
- be independent, adaptable to working in interdisciplinary groups, be accurate and reliable,
- two or more years of previous experience working in a laboratory in a similar position is desirable.

Applications must be submitted by 5th December 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to start work as soon as possible after the selection process has been completed. Employment is offered for full-time working hours over a fixed term of one year, with the possibility of extension.
