Head of the Materials Research Laboratory (m/f/o)

Materials Research Laboratory covers research topics from fields of electronic and environmental materials. Both fields are complementary with respect to a type of materials (semiconducting oxides) and physical effects (electron transfer).

We are seeking a new colleague motivated by the challenge of forming and leading their own research group. We can offer a dynamic research environment with a focus on involvement in international research.

The head of the centre will also have the opportunity to teach students at all three Bologna study levels, for example at the School of engineering and management, School of Environmental Sciences, School of Science, Graduate School and others.

To be considered for the position, you should:
* have a doctorate in the field covered by the laboratory,
* meet the requirements for leading research projects,
* have good organisational and leadership skills,
* have at least five years’ work experience,
* have a knowledge of Slovenian and English to C1 level.

You must attach the following to your application:
* a curriculum vitae,
* proof that you meet the requirements,
* a reference list of scholarly and specialist publications,
* a cover letter with a brief description of your vision for developing the laboratory in the international sphere,
* contact details for references.

The employment contract will be for full-time working hours for a fixed term of four years, with the possibility of reappointment. Shortlisted candidates will also be asked to submit extended details of their vision for the development of the laboratory.
