Assistant with PhD in the field of Material Science (m/f/o)
The University of Nova Gorica announces a job opening of assistant with PhD in the field of Material Science.

This position is available to candidates interested in pursuing a research and academic career at the University of Nova Gorica. We offer the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supported by state-of-the-art research equipment and strong involvement in international research.
Research activities will take place at the Materials Research Laboratory.
The selected candidate will be directly involved in the research project GC-0003 Gravitation – Semiconductors, specifically in the research task Nanostructured Hybrid Semiconductor Materials and Devices. The work will include research on topological materials, characterization of their structural and electronic properties, and their applications.
Application requirements:
* a PhD in chemistry, physics or related fields,
* knowledge and experience in experimental work in the field of semiconductor materials,
* excellent command of the English language.
The expected start date is immediately after the selection process or as agreed. The employment will be full-time (40 hours per week) and for a fixed term, for the duration of the project, until September 31, 2027.
