Rector (m/f/o)
The University of Nova Gorica is announcing a job vacancy for the position of rector.
Deadline for applications: 31. 5. 2025
Main responsibilities:
- Professional leadership and management of the University,
- Carrying out tasks within the scope of competencies as defined by law, the University Statute, and other internal regulations.
Requirements:
- Internationally recognized researcher or artist in one of the fields of activity of the University of Nova Gorica,
- Holding the academic title of Full Professor,
- Proven organizational and leadership skills,
- At least 10 years of professional experience,
- Proficiency in both Slovenian and English at C1 level.

- Curriculum vitae (CV),
- Evidence of meeting the stated requirements,
- Scientific and professional bibliography,
- Motivation letter including a vision for the development of the University.
The position is offered as a full-time, fixed-term employment contract for a period of four years, corresponding to the term of office.
Upon the conclusion of the term, the incumbent may be reappointed following a new call for applications.
