The Zois Award for Outstanding Scientific Achievements in Machine Learning - Prof. Dr. Nada Lavrač

Yesterday, the awards and recognitions of the Republic of Slovenia for outstanding achievements in scientific research and development in 2022 were presented at a ceremony at the Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana.

Among this year’s award recipients is Dr. Nada Lavrač, a researcher at the Department of Knowledge Technologies of the Jožef Stefan Institute and a professor at the Jožef Stefan International Graduate School and the University of Nova Gorica, who received the Zois Award for Outstanding Scientific Achievements in Machine Learning. Prof. Dr. Nada Lavrač’s crowning achievement is original data representation methods for efficient machine learning

Besides the aforementioned colleague, the Zois Award for Scientific Research and Development Achievements in Microbial Biotechnology was also awarded to Prof. Dr. Maja Ravnikar, a member of the Governing Board of the University of Nova Gorica.
