We are looking for a highly motivated colleague who is interested in the field of charge transport in two-dimensional (2D) materials. The selected candidate will be immediately employed and involved in the experimental research in the Laboratory of organic matter physics in the field of 2D materials, their VdW heterostructures and in the field of organic electronics. Research activities are experimental in nature. The main topics are electronic properties of materials that are interesting as novel electronic components, organic thin film transistors, photodetectors, organic solar cells, memory components, energy-harvesting components, and bio-mimetic components e.g. biosensors.

Within the scope of work obligations, the candidate will be trained and educated to obtain a doctorate of science (PhD) in the study program Physics III. level of Graduate School of University of Nova Gorica. In accordance with appointment, the selected candidate will also take on pedagogical obligations in the field of physics in one or more study programs of the university.

The employment will be possible immediately after the selection procedure or when agreed. The employment is offered for full-time working hours over a fixed term of one year with possibility for extension.

To be considered for the position, you should:

  • completed 2nd cycle master’s study program or equivalent from the field of physics or materials science,
  • enroll to study program Physics III. level of Graduate School of University of Nova Gorica for the academic year 2022/23,
  • solid written/speaking knowledge of English.
